Work Force Solutions recognizes Cellular One

McAllen, TX – On Tuesday, July 13th, the Workforce Solutions (WFS) Board of Directors recognized Cellular One and presented them with an Employer Partnership Award during their board meeting. The WFS Board of Directors selected Cellular One for their continued support and creation of jobs in the Rio Grande Valley.

Cellular One first approached WFS in April of 2008 with the idea of establishing a Call Center in McAllen, TX – their first in Texas. WFS was successful in assisting Cellular One launch their first Call Center in Texas which initially created 20 new jobs. Cellular One has continued to grow and create new jobs, with the assistance of WFS, bringing their Staff count to 37 by November of 2008.

That same year WFS nominated Cellular One for the Texas Workforce Local Employer of Excellence of the Year and presented them their distinguished award at the Texas Workforce Annual Convention in San Antonio, TX.

Today Cellular One employs 79 WFS referred employees. Through their leadership and the assistance of WFS, Cellular One has continued to expand and create new jobs for the Rio Grande Valley.

Cellular One offers an excellent benefits package to their employees and maintain a low turnover rate. In recognition of their continued partnership and service to the community, the WFS Board of Directors recognizes Cellular One as a valued partner.
