Home Buyer's Fair coming to the Mid Valley

Potential home buyers have many questions about the home buying process and how to protect their long term investment. Affordable Homes of South Texas, the City of Weslaco and Weslaco Economic Development Corporation are proud to provide this free opportunity to residents of the Mid Valley. 

A session on preventing foreclosure and avoiding loan modification scams will also be conducted courtesy of a representative from Fannie Mae. Foreclosure mitigation counselors will also be on hand to assist homeowners in danger of losing their homes to foreclosure.

This event provides a one-on-one opportunity to potential homebuyers to meet with lenders, builders, realtors, title companies, energy service providers and countless other organizations.  “What makes this event unique is that it also provides how-to instructions from industry professionals,” states Robert (Bobby) Calvillo, Executive Director of Affordable Homes of South Texas, one of the organizers of the event.   “Our sponsors have agreed to provide this classroom instruction, in a non-competitive environment for the benefit of our community. We thank all of them and encourage everyone to come and take advantage of this unique opportunity.”
