16 DE SEPTIEMBRE FIESTA "GRITO CONTEST"

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 18^th from 10am to 11pm to come and celebrate the McAllen Hispanic Chambers 1^st Annual “16 de Septiembre Fiesta” at the McAllen Convention Centers Pond area. 

The event will have live entertainment, different vendors with food, crafts, clothing, jewelry, etc. and a Kiddie Land for the kids. 

Along with the live entertainment there will be a Talent Contest for dancers or musicians and a Grito de Independencia Contest. 

Contestants in the Talent Show will get 3 minutes to perform.  Participants in the Grito Contest will be judged by their Gusto in their Grito.  Both events will have a 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place winners. 

The SPI BikeFest will also participate with a Poker Run, Field Events and Bike Show.

Vendors are still needed as well as entertainment for the main stage.  For more information on the “16 de Septiembre Fiesta” call the MHCC at 928-0060.
