The Wells Fargo Foundation recently provided Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc. with a $5,000 grant to support its Home Buyer Education efforts.  The grant provided by Wells Fargo will allow AHSTI to continue to provide valuable pre and post purchase Home Buyer Counseling for its clients.

In addition to traditional pre purchase counseling such as budgeting, preparing for homeownership and understanding credit, AHSTI is now providing foreclosure mitigation services at no cost to the community. 

In the last 6 months, AHSTI has provided assistance to over 40 clients and have already secured relief for almost half of those clients with a good number under consideration by the lender via a temporary forbearance from the foreclosure.
