          Edinburg - Legacy Chapels Life Events Center and the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce proudly present Texas Cook'Em: High Steaks in Edinburg Saturday, July 7th, 2012 at the Edinburg Municipal Park from 10am-11pm. The event will feature live music by "La Mafia", Roy Torres and Buck 'N Crazy, The Tony Perez Band and Grupo Dezeo. The event will also feature a bike show, dancing horses by "Cortigo los Conquistadores" and the Texas Rattlesnake Man Jackie Bibi with Robert Ackerman! Food, fun, fireworks and more!

          The main entrance to the cook-off will be off Doolittle Road and gates open at 10am. The event is FREE with only $10 per car load. You don't want to miss this delicious event. Texas Cook'Em is a rain or shine event, and we encourage you to pack your chairs and umbrellas to enjoy an entire day of fun under the sun for the entire family. Vendors will be selling funnel cakes, nachos, raspas, fajita tacos and other delicious items. Picnic tables will be available for those who wish to sit and eat some tasty mouth watering barbeque.

          Cooking entries are $75 each or $200 for all 4 entries that includes T-bone steak, ½ chicken, pork spare ribs and brisket. There is an additional
Jackpot category which will feature the cook's choice for a $10 entry. Up to
$17,000 in prize money and trophies will be awarded. Last year we had over 75 entries from all across Texas, and spaces filled up quickly; call

International Barbeque Cookers Association (IBCA). The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting cooks and judges.
